Steps to Get Started
- You need a prescription from your child's physician (some pediatricians
will make the diagnosis, others prefer to refer to a specialist)
- Once you have a prescription, Cranial Technologies will work with
your insurance company to get pre-authorization. This may require
a letter of medical necessity from your physician, medical photos, measurements,
and description of the treatment. Our Patient Coordinators will guide
you through this process. Pre-authorization
can take as long as 3 weeks.
- Once the pre-authorization is complete, treatment can begin.
**Free Consultations: Cranial Technologies Clinics offer consultations at no charge. At this visit we explain plagiocephaly, how to look at your infant's head shape, show you a DOC Band, and take measurements and photos if requested by your insurance. All CTI Clinics are available to answer your questions by phone.
