Treatment Protocols
- The DOC Band is worn 23 hours/day with one hour off for bathing/hygiene.
- Skin checks are performed regularly during the first two days to ensure
the infant's skin can tolerate the pressures being applied.
- Neck Range Of Motion (ROM) is evaluated and stretching exercises implemented.
- Growth adjustments are performed weekly or bi-weekly to encourage
normal cranial growth.
- A 3D model is used at every appointment to track progress.
- To record the corrected head shape, an exit cast is taken at the completion
of treatment.
Most CTI Clinics take before and after photos. Anthropometric measurements
are taken when insurance coverage requires them.
