Jayden J.

I was referred by the State of Florida to Cranial Technologies; before going, I read the blogs and testimonials posted on their Web site. I was drawn to the many stories of mothers fighting for their children. I made an appointment and decided to meet with the team at their Miami location to get further information and to see if we could form a relationship so that my son, Jayden, could receive treatment.

At first, I was extremely skeptical because my son had the STARband® on prior and I was extremely disappointed with the results and the treatment my son received at their facility. Because my ego was bruised and I felt defeated from my previous experience, I was a little suspicious of the excellent service I received and how open and honest everyone was. After extensive discussion with my husband, we signed up and started treatment.

What I liked most of all is that they took in consideration the distance we were travelling and scheduled all our follow-up sessions to fit our schedule. The DOC Band was also surprisingly much lighter than the one he was wearing and he never tried to remove it during the 23 hours he had to wear it. On every visit we saw significant improvement to our son, Jayden’s, facial features and I got more relaxed because I realized that our therapist and the team had a genuine interest in making our case a success. The attention and care that Jayden received has never waivered. Our therapist, Anne, listened to any concerns we had and tried find a solution as quickly as possible.

Even after making the decision to fit my son with another DOC Band (Mother’s instinct), which was at the time an unpopular decision, I still had their support. Surprisingly Jayden had incredible results yet again which proves that a mother’s instinct is never wrong. They were extremely surprised, since at fourteen to eighteen months, the results were said to be minimal or none.

My husband and I felt very sad when Jayden finally graduated from his DOC Band, because we felt like we lost a family. We had such a great relationship with the staff and we appreciate all the help, support and encouragement we received and I would wholeheartedly recommend CranialTech to anyone. My advice to families in our situation is to do your homework, read as many testimonials and blogs as possible and most importantly, never give up and always go with your instinct. For those of you going through treatment with your child, please stay positive and talk to your therapist about any concerns you may have. It could make a huge difference in the treatment outcome.

Today our son, Jayden, is a very healthy and happy twenty-one month old. We have even seen more positive results even after he had stopped wearing the DOC Band. All our fears of kids making fun of him are gone. His facial deformity is no longer noticeable, thanks to the DOC Band, our therapist and the staff of CranialTech in making our visit a pleasurable and memorable one.
